Multidisplays

Hi all,

I've been out of the loop for quite a while as this has become more a hobby rather than a business for me in the last year. But I've still been downloading my update versions, though never installed till now.

First thing I've noticed is the vast increase in workflow speed when dragging a video file to the timeline. We used to have to wait for the display data (pop-up window) to be created before timeline control returned, but with v3.60d timeline control remains throughout while the display data is created. No pop-up window to deal with too. The display data is created in the background while one continues work. I'm pretty sure it is not due to my 'new' machine (Q6600 with 4GB RAM) but due to the program's improvement instead.

Hope your business is doing well. It is more or less dead in my country as clients' budgets always seem to be restricted. Yesterday, I verbally quoted RM$7K (US$2K) per screen for a 10-screen show (only programming, PC and licences supplied but all visual and audio data, and projectors, etc...provided by client)...and the immediate reply was too expensive, even if I were to half that quote. Well, if that is the case, I'd rather be home watching TV or out on the golf course working at my main rice-bowl.
